Jamshedpur hotel staff nabbed for concocting fake snatching story

Jamshedpur, Apr 20: Sakchi police today exposed a fake snatching story hatched by a hotel staff and detected the cash and also arrested the hotel staff. 
The hotel staff Kamal Jetti, who is an accountant in Kannelite Hotel in Sakchi had lodged a complaint at Sakchi thana on Monday that while he was going on bike on Garamnullah Main Road two bike borne miscreants dashed against him and as he fell from the bike they escaped taking the plastic bag hung on the bike’s handle and containing cash of Rs 68,000.
However, the manner in which he narrated things made police suspicious and during probe they found no such incident happening from the CCTV footages taken from along the road and also from the version of the shopkeepers whose shops are located on that stretch of roads. 
The police OC Kunal KUmar then started interrogating the youth strictly and after a while he confessed that he had given the money to one of his friend to keep it as it was his provident fund amount and that he would collect it from him in night and had then narrated the fake snatching story to take the money as he was facing economic crisis.
The youth had on Monday afternoon encashed the cheque from Bistupur’s ICICI bank and kept it in the plastic bag and left the bank at 2.47 pm while the youth reported the matter to the police at around 4 pm. 
Police have recovered the cash amount from the youth too.
