Jamshedpur, March 14: Jamshedpur Horse Riding School won 11 medals in the interstate Horse Riding Championship organized by Janak Equestrian Club in Gurgaon from 11 to 12 March.
Four riders from Jamshedpur Horse Riding School participated in the event and out of 12 positions they secured 4 gold medals along with 3 silver medals and 4 bronze medals.
Darsh Singhal won 3 medals including 2 gold and 1 bronze, Yagyen Lodha won 1 Silver and 2 Bronze, Akushka M. Shah bagged 1 Gold, 1 Silver and 1 Bronze medal while Nikhil claimed a gold and a silver medal in the championship.
Total of 146 athletes participated in under 14 category and 87 participated in above 14 years events.
Riders from five states namely UP, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Rajasthan and Jharkhand participated.
The organizers received 445 entries for all games and participants in the under 14 group vied for 36 Medals (12 Gold, 12 Silver, 12 Bronze) while there above 14 counterparts had their targets set on 18.
