Jamshedpur, Nov 18: A youth allegedly assaulted a homeguard posted at MGM Hospital on Friday. He was caught by other on-duty homeguards and handed over to police.
Sources said the victim homeguard, Surendra Prasad, was on duty outside OPD room no. 9 when Mango resident Angad Malik, the accused, reached there. The homeguard asked Angad to stand in queue, but the latter instead of complying with the request allegedly misbehaved with the homeguard and assaulted him with his helmet.A chaotic scene was created outside the OPD. Later senior police officials reached there and arrested the accused.
