Jamshedpur: Healthcare, education, and MNREGA under scrutiny in block-level inspections

Jamshedpur: Following the instructions of Deputy Commissioner Ananya Mittal, nodal officers conducted inspections across all 11 blocks, evaluating key public services and government schemes. The officials visited Anganwadi Centres, Panchayat Bhawans, PDS shops, Health Sub-Centres, MNREGA scheme sites, and schools to assess their functioning and ensure the effective implementation of government programs in rural areas. The objective of the inspections was to ensure that local communities benefit fully from government initiatives.

During the weekly inspection, various senior officials undertook site visits to specific blocks. Project Director ITDA  Dipankar Chaudhary inspected Ghatshila, while Sub-Divisional Officer Dhalbhum Mrs. Shatabdi Majumdar visited Bodam. Sub-Divisional Officer Ghatshila reviewed Matiyabandhi Panchayat in Chakulia, and Additional Deputy Commissioner Bhagirath Prasad inspected Bagurda Panchayat in Patamda block. Director NEP Santosh Garg visited Bhalki Panchayat in Gudabanda, the Special Allocation Officer inspected Dhalbhumgarh, and the DCLR reviewed Baharagora. Other key inspections included District Supply Officer Salman Zafar Khijri in Dumria, District Transport Officer in Jamshedpur, District Planning Officer in Musabani, and Executive Magistrate Chandrajit Singh in Jamundi Panchayat of Potka. Additionally, the District Transport Officer conducted an inspection of Jugsalai Municipal Council.

The Deputy Commissioner emphasized the importance of these field visits, stating that health, education, employment, and nutrition schemes must be delivered effectively to villages and panchayats. He stressed that lower-level administrative units and their employees must remain actively engaged in rural areas to ensure proper service delivery.

The inspection of Anganwadi Centres, Panchayat Bhawans, PDS shops, Health Sub-Centres, MNREGA sites, and schools is part of the administration’s ongoing efforts to improve rural governance and public service accessibility. The district administration remains committed to ensuring the effective implementation of government schemes to uplift rural communities.
