Jamshedpur, March 10: Jogendra Singh (73), a Sevadar at Mango Gurudwara, was found dead by hanging in the premises of Guru Nanak High School. The discovery was made by Gurudwara staff who promptly alerted the authorities. Mango police arrived at the spot and took away the body for autopsy while initiating investigation into the incident.
Jogendra, a longtime resident of Sakchi Gurudwara Basti, had served at Mango Gurudwara for 28 years. Despite his family’s attempts to bring him home, he remained steadfast in his commitment to serving the Gurudwara community. Colleagues were unable to ascertain the reasons behind his decision to end his life.
The police have registered an Unnatural Death case in the incident and are pursuing leads to solve the reason for the suicide.
