Jamshedpur: Groundbreaking ceremony for Degree College in Jilingdungri

Jamshedpur, June 13: In a momentous occasion, Jugsalai MLA Mangal Kalindi, along with prominent agitator Astik Mahato, performed the Bhumi Pujan (groundbreaking ceremony) for the construction of a degree college in Jillingdungri, located in the Bodam block of Jugsalai assembly constituency. The event witnessed the enthusiastic participation of local villagers and a grand bike rally with over 1,000 riders.

Following a bike rally, MLA Mangal Kalindi reached the site, accompanied by Jharkhand agitator Economic Mahato. The MLA expressed his gratitude to the Chief Minister of the state, Hemant Soren, for approving the construction of the degree college. He highlighted that the demand for the college was made just 15 days after taking oath in the Vidhansabha, emphasizing his commitment to serving the people of Jugsalai Vidhansabha.

Addressing the gathering, MLA Mangal Kalindi expressed his immense pride and happiness in fulfilling the long-standing dream of the villagers. He conveyed his appreciation to Chief Minister Hemant Soren for recognizing the importance of establishing a degree college in Bodam.

Agitator Astik Mahato, present at the ceremony, acknowledged the relentless efforts of MLA Mangal Kalindi and expressed his delight on behalf of the villagers. He emphasized the significance of this milestone, stating that the construction of the degree college in Jillingdungri marks the first time such an institution will be established in the region since India gained independence.

The Bhumi Pujan event was attended by various intellectuals from Bodam, including Vishwanat Singh, Swapan Mahato, Mahabir Murmu, Chandrashekhar Tudu, Subhash Karmakar, Shyama Pado Mahato, Himanshu Mahato, Chhotulal Hansda, Ashwini Mahato, Shyam Sundar Singh, Diwakar Tudu, Jamini Pramanik, Kalipad Mahato, Dayal Mahato, Kajol Singh, Vinay Mandal, as well as a significant number of JMM workers and local villagers. The commencement of the degree college construction has brought joy and appreciation from the local community, especially the young girls who expressed their gratitude to MLA Mangal Kalindi for initiating this development, symbolizing a bright future for education in the region.
