Jamshedpur: The District Telecom Committee has given the green signal for the installation of repeater mobile towers in the remote areas of Makuli Jungle Phuljhor and Bhumro. This decision, made during a recent meeting under the chairmanship of Deputy Development Commissioner Aniket Sachan, aims to significantly enhance mobile connectivity and provide better telecommunication services to these underserved regions.
The meeting, convened as per the instructions of District Magistrate cum Deputy Commissioner Ananya Mittal, also reviewed the progress of the 4G Saturation Project and discussed the ongoing mobile tower installations by BSNL to further improve network coverage across the district.
Additionally, one case was presented and unanimously approved, granting No Objection Certificate (NOC). The meeting saw participation from key officials including Chandrajit Singh, In-charge Officer of the District General Branch, CO Mango Brajesh Srivastava, and representatives from BSNL, the Municipal Corporation, and other telecom service providers.
These efforts are part of the ongoing initiatives to bridge the telecom connectivity gap in rural and remote areas under the Aspirational District Program.
