Jamshedpur gets new civil surgeon

Jamshedpur, Mar 10: In a notification issued by Jharkhand state government additional secretary, Prabhunath Sharma on Wednesday, Dr A. K Lal has been made the new acting civil surgeon of East Singhbhum district .
The charge would be in addition to the existing portfolio as the health officer at the civil surgeon office. He has also been notified as the withdrawal and spending officer for civil surgeon office. 
Significantly, Dr Lal was the acting civil surgeon but did not posses the financial powers. The erstwhile civil surgeon Dr R. N Jha had given charge to Dr A. K Lal and gone on leave after he developed illness. 
Soon after assuming charge, Dr A. K Lal said that he was determined to fulfill the responsibility entrusted on him and seek the cooperation of all health officials at block and sub-divisional level. He also said that the immediate priority would be to ensure that all government schemes are completed in right time. Dr Lal is known as an officer who is more keen in visiting sites and knows the health issues confronting the district inside out.
