Comprehensive review meeting unveils preparations
Jamshedpur: In a significant development, a comprehensive review meeting was conducted at the Collectorate Auditorium, Jamshedpur, chaired by District Election Officer Ananya Mittal. The meeting, held on Saturday brought together key officials, including Senior Superintendent of Police Kishore Kaushal, Deputy Development Commissioner Manish Kumar, PD ITDA Dipankar Chaudhary, ADC, Rohit Sinha, ADM Law and Order, Ananth Kumar, SDOs, BDOs, COs, DSPs, and station in-charges.
Critical Booth Identification and Review
The meeting commenced with an in-depth analysis of critical aspects, such as the identification of crucial booths, their proximity to clusters, expenditure-sensitive areas, intermediate strong rooms, and the investigation report on the availability of basic facilities in polling stations. Points related to Model Code of Conduct violations and shadow areas were also scrutinized.
Logistical Preparations and Facility Assessment: District Election Officer Ananya Mittal gathered detailed information on primary facilities in all polling stations, emphasizing water, electricity, access roads, furniture, ramps, and toilets. The discussions expanded to cover route mapping of booths, accommodation for the polling party, transportation arrangements, and facilities for disabled and elderly voters. Law and order preparations were thoroughly discussed, including on-site inspections by senior officials and instructions for further investigation.
Cluster Formation and Dispatch Centers
A key directive emerged as the District Election Officer instructed Block Development Officers to form clusters, primarily focusing on security considerations. Clusters were deemed necessary in situations where stopping at polling stations was impractical or posed security concerns. Dispatch centers for various assembly constituencies were designated, with Cooperative College and LBSM College assigned as receiving centers. The confirmation of live webcasting at critical booths during the voting day added an additional layer of transparency.
Police Directives and Vigilance Measures
Senior Superintendent of Police Kishore Kaushal issued directives to administrative and police officers to reevaluate critical booth reports and identify necessary clusters. Emergency helipads were to be marked and linked to clusters, while all booths and clusters were to be tagged with community and primary health centers. Vigilance against attempts to influence voters through illicit means, such as liquor, cash, gifts, and drugs, was stressed. Special emphasis was placed on inter-state and inter-district checkpoints.

Helipad for emergency situations
Jamshedpur: Kishore Kaushal,Senior Superintendent of Police directed all concerned administrative and police officers to re-review the critical booth report. Besides, instructions were also given to review where clusters are needed. Instructions were given to mark the place for the helipad for use in emergency and tag it with the cluster, and to tag all the booths and clusters with the community health center and primary health center. He said that the district administration is committed to conducting the elections in a fair and peaceful manner. If liquor, cash, gifts, drugs etc. are used in any way to woo voters, then keep a strict vigil, there is a need to keep special vigil on all inter-state .
