Jamshedpur gears up for Independence Day, administration reviews preparation 

Jamshedpur, August 2 : East Singhbhum deputy commissioner Vijaya Jadhav and SSP Prabhat Kumar held a meeting  on preparation for Independence Day function.

In view of the relaxation given in the rules of Covid this year, permission has been given to take out morning procession  and Tiranga Yatra, on the condition that if any further guidelines are received in this regard by the State Government, then this permission will become invalid.

The Sub-Divisional Officer, the concerned Block Development Officer/Municipal Body Officer will visit the house of freedom fighters and honor them. In the main function, it was also decided to honor the officers and employees for the achievements of various departments for  the steps taken in the emergency situation.

The Deputy Commissioner said that this year 75 years of India’s independence is being completed, the district level program will also be celebrated with grandeur. An organizing committee has been constituted under the chairmanship of Deputy Development Commissioner. The cleanliness of the statues of the great freedom fighters will be ensured by the concerned Municipal Officer or Block Development Officer. Painting/drawing competitions will be conducted among the students of the school.

The responsibility of preparing the main function venue at Gopal Maidan and making all necessary arrangements for this will be the responsibility of the Special Officer-Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee, who will ensure the necessary outline of the program by coordinating with the representative of NDC and JUSCO.

DSP traffic was asked to maintain smooth traffic system. Firefighting vehicles and two ambulances will be deployed at the venue. Along with this, adequate quantity of sanitizers will also be arranged.

The Senior Superintendent of Police said that there would be a tight security arrangement. The parade will consist of  eight contingents which will include RAF, DAP (Female/Male), ZAP-6, Home Guard, NCC (Female/Male), Scouts and Guides.  The rehearsal program would be of three days in which full dress rehearsal would be held on 13th August.
