Yatra a tribute to martyrs, join us in honouring their sacrifice: Kale
Jamshedpur, March 21: The Shaheed Samman Yatra cum Akhand Tiranga Yatra, one of the grandest yatras in the country, is set to enter its 10th year on Sunday, March 23. Organized in honour of the martyrs, the yatra will begin at 9:55 AM from Agrico Transport Ground and follow its traditional route through Agrico roundabout, Bhalubasa, Sakchi, Basant Cinema, Kalimati Road, and RD Tata Chowk. A tribute will be paid at the Police Line before the procession concludes at Agrico Ground.

Addressing a press conference at a hotel in Sakchi on Friday, Naman’s founder president, Amarpreet Singh Kale, shared details of the event, stating, “Naman is dedicated to keeping alive the dreams of martyrs, fostering patriotism, and upholding the honour of the national flag. Our aim is to promote love, brotherhood, and harmony in society.”
The yatra, which began in 2016 as a response to anti-national slogans, has since become an annual tradition on March 23, commemorating the martyrdom of Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, and Sukhdev. “For the 10th consecutive year, we are organizing this yatra with full enthusiasm, and we seek everyone’s participation, cooperation, and blessings,” Kale emphasized.
The event will feature a Maa Bharti chariot leading the procession, followed by four live tableaux depicting martyrs’ sacrifices. Thousands, including patriotic youth, women, ex-servicemen, and social representatives, are expected to participate. A special ceremony will be held to honour martyr and ex-servicemen families before the yatra commences. The yatra will be welcomed at multiple locations across the city, and tributes will be paid at the martyr’s memorial at the Police Line.
Kale urged the youth, women, senior citizens, and social organizations to join the yatra with their families, ensuring its grandeur and significance remain intact. “This yatra is a symbol of our collective respect for the martyrs. We invite everyone to take part and pay tribute,” he added.
