Jamshedpur, July 26: The Tata Steel sports department has lined up a series of events to mark the 112th birthday celebrations of JRD Tata, the doyen of Indian industry.
Separate events � badminton, football, cross country, run for employees and carrom — will be held to mark the occasion. JRD Tata�s birthday falls on July 29.
The badminton tournament, which will conclude tomorrow, will be followed by a football event for under -12 and under -14 age categories (July 29 and 30), cross country for employees of Tribal Cultural Society, Tata Steel Rural Development Society, Urban Services and the sports wing ( July 27), a similar exercise for Jamshedpur Old Girls and Guys Association- affiliated schools (July 29) and run for employees (July 30). The events will continue with a cross country for Project, Jusco and Non-JOGGA schools (July 30).
The birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna JRD Tata, a legendary figure and doyen of aviation in India, will be celebrated with zest and gusto.
