Jamshedpur, April 22: Steel city of Jamshedpur is ready to welcome Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who will be participating in a government function for the first time in the city. The district administration and the BJP are all geared up to accord warm reception to PM.
East Singhbhum deputy commissioner Amitabh Kaushal on Friday said that high resolution CCTVs have been installed to monitor the delegates and viewers during the April 24 program. He said strict vigil has been ensured in and around the area.
The district administration has been vigilant and made all preparations for smooth functioning of the program. The Sakchi-Kadma road has been made one-way, while vehicle checking drive was launched at every police station area.
He also threatened of strict legal action against those who will try to obstruct PM�s program in the city.
Jusco has started work getting the important arteries to be used by the PM motorcade from Sonari Aerodrome to the venue of the National Panchayat Raj Day function at JRD Tata Sports Complex spruced up for the D-Day.
”We have also cleaned the LED lights installed on the roads. New coat of painting have also been made on the scrap metal arts pieces,� official said.
The important arteries which have witnessed makeover include the stretch from Sonari aerodrome to Circuit House roundabout and Sakchi Boulevard stretch from Circuit House roundabout to Bistupur roundabout and the Straight Mile stretch from Jusco corporate office roundabout till Baug-E-Jamsheed.
Bill boards and welcome banners have been set up alongside all these thoroughfares to welcome the PM.
�The hoardings have been put up so that delegates and VVIPs coming to city from different parts of the country are aware about our city welcoming our Prime Minister,� said East Singhbhum additional deputy commissioner, Sunil Kumar.
Reception counters have been opened for panchayat delegates from different states at the Tatanagar station. Around 3,500 delegates will be coming from different states (barring those states having assembly polls).
Meanwhile, chairs in the galleries of the JRD Tata Sports Complex have also been given a fresh coat of painting in green, saffron and white.
According to sources in the district administration, SPG will carry out trial run of the motorcade of the PM on Saturday morning.
