Jamshedpur: Garment trader shot at near Sonari Nurse Quarters

Jamshedpur: Assailants shot at one Rakesh Dubey, a garment trader, near Nurse Quarters under Sonari police station area on Monday.

Dubey was rushed to Tata Main Hospital where his condition was reportedly critical, police said.

Police said the incident took place in the evening. Two assailants, suspected to be Gangesh and Babu Lodhi, fired at Dubey from close range. Dubey was taken to hospital by his family members who suspect personal enmity behind the incident, police said.

Cops suspect the firing to be the result of gang rivalry. They said Dubey is accused in a chain snatching case. They said an investigation was on into the incident. Raids were being conducted at various places in the city to nab the culprits. Police officials said the city was sealed to prevent escape of the shooters.
