Jamshedpur, Aug 30: Sri Bala Ganpati Vilas, one of city’s oldest Ganesh Puja committees, is going to celebrate Ganesh Puja in a grand way this year. Preparations for the puja have been completed. After a gap of two years, the puja is being celebrated with grandeur, said the committee members.
“During the two years of Covid pandemic, the committee organized the puja with many constraints. But now the puja is being held with full splendour and on a larger scale,” said a committee member.
A grand Mela (fair) is organized at Kadma Ganesh Puja Maidan every year. This year it would be held from 31st August till 18th September. On the first day, many dignitaries of the city would attend the inaugural function. A musical event will also be held in the evening. Around 8 pm, the pandal would be inaugurated by former Chief Minister Raghubar Das, organizers said.
