Jamshedpur Founder’s Day: Heavy vehicles restricted for three days

Jamshedpur: In anticipation of large crowds gathering to witness the grand lighting decorations and various events marking Founder’s Day, the city administration has imposed a temporary ban on the movement of heavy vehicles for three days.

As per an official order issued late Saturday evening, the entry of heavy vehicles into Jamshedpur will be restricted from 3 PM to 12 midnight on March 3, 4, and 5. However, vehicle movement will be permitted from 12 midnight to 3 PM the following day.

The directive has been jointly issued by the Deputy Commissioner, Senior Superintendent of Police, and Traffic DSP to ensure smooth traffic flow and the safety of visitors. The restrictions aim to prevent congestion and facilitate an uninterrupted celebration of Founders Day, which attracts thousands of residents and tourists.

Authorities have urged transporters and commercial vehicle operators to plan their schedules accordingly to avoid inconvenience. Traffic personnel will be deployed across key locations to enforce the order and manage vehicular movement efficiently.
