Jamshedpur/Kalna, January 29: Jamshedpur FC U13 suffered a 4-2 defeat against United Sports in their second match at Aghornath Park Stadium, Kalna. United’s Debraj Gayen was the star of the game, scoring four goals, including a late brace in stoppage time. He opened the scoring in the 13th minute and added another in the 37th to give his side a comfortable lead. Jamshedpur fought back in the second half, with Piyush Mahato pulling one back in the 60th minute before Prakash Singh struck in the 62nd to bring them level. However, United responded strongly, with Debraj completing his hattrick in the 70th minute before sealing the win in added time.
Despite Jamshedpur’s spirited comeback, United’s clinical finishing proved the difference. Jamshedpur will now look to bounce back when they face SKM Sports Foundation on March 31, aiming to secure their second win of the tournament.
