Jamshedpur FC U-18 Look to Bounce Back Against Sports Odisha

Jamshedpur, January 4: Jamshedpur FC U-18 will be eager to return to winning ways when they face Sports Odisha in their next Reliance Foundation Youth Development League Regional Qualifiers match at the JRD Tata Sports Complex on Sunday.

After a narrow defeat despite controlling large phases of their previous outing, the Young Men of Steel are expected to approach the game with renewed focus and urgency. The home side has shown strong attacking intent throughout the tournament and will be keen to convert possession into goals against a Sports Odisha team that has shown resilience and fight in the group so far.

Head coach Kaizad Ambapardiwalla stressed the importance of learning quickly and responding with the right mindset. “We created enough chances in the last game but football is about efficiency. The important thing is how the boys react. We need to be patient, stay true to our principles and make better decisions in the final third,” he said.

Sports Odisha will pose a different kind of challenge, with their ability to stay competitive till the final whistle, as seen in their recent fixtures. Jamshedpur, however, will take confidence from their depth in attack and familiarity with home conditions as they look to regain momentum in a tightly contested group.

With only a few matches left in the regional qualifiers and every point proving crucial in the race for the top two spots, Sunday’s encounter promises to be an important test of character and consistency for Jamshedpur FC U-18.
