Jamshedpur FC to face Sporting Club Delhi in pre-season friendly on Feb 7

Jamshedpur, February 3: Fans will get a rare early glimpse of Jamshedpur FC’s preparations for the new Indian Super League season when the Men of Steel host Sporting Club Delhi in a friendly encounter on February 7 at the JRD Tata Sports Complex.

Scheduled to kick off at 7:00 pm, the match will be JFC’s second pre-season friendly and will be played as an open fixture as they face Sreenidhi Deccan FC in a closed friendly at flatelet on February 5th.

Spectators will be allowed entry through Gate 7 from 6:15 pm onwards, with the East Upper and Lower stands set to be fully occupied, adding to the buzz around the stadium.

As preparations gather pace, the friendly will provide the coaching staff a key platform to assess combinations, fitness levels and tactical ideas, while fans see how the squad is shaping up under the ongoing training programme.

Speaking ahead of the match, head coach Owen Coyle highlighted the importance of these games in the build-up to the season. “These games are vital for us to assess where the players are physically and tactically. Playing in front of our supporters brings an extra edge, and it gives the players a chance to build that connection early and grow in confidence,” he said.
