Jamshedpur FC Reserves to face FC Goa in RFDL 3rd-place playoff

Mumbai, April 13: Jamshedpur FC Reserves will take on FC Goa in the third-place playoff of the Reliance Foundation Development League (RFDL) 2024-25 National Championship on April 14 at Reliance Corporate Park, Navi Mumbai at 8 AM. Both teams will be aiming to finish their impressive campaigns on a high note after missing out on a spot in the final.

Jamshedpur FC head into the clash after a tough 5-1 semifinal loss to Mohun Bagan Super Giant. Despite taking an early lead through Bivan Jyoti Laskar, the young Red Miners were unable to contain the Mariners’ attacking momentum. FC Goa, meanwhile, went down 2-0 against a resolute Classic FA side in the other semifinal, failing to find the attacking rhythm that saw them defeat Jamshedpur FC earlier in the group stage.

This will be the second meeting between the two sides in the tournament. In the group stage, FC Goa emerged 4-0 winners, handing Jamshedpur their only defeat in the league phase. However, Jamshedpur FC have shown resilience and attacking flair throughout the competition, led by standout performers like Lawmsangzuala, Bivan, and Remson.
