Jamshedpur, July 18: The three day workshop of Jamshedpur FC Grassroots Programme for the coaches concluded at TFA (Tata Football Academy) grounds on Wednesday. Over 120 students participated in the programme along with 35 coaches.
The workshop ended where every coach was given a participation certification by Jamshedpur Football Club.
At the closing ceremony chief guest Lalita Sareen, Director of Mount Litera School said, “We are extremely happy to be a part of this progamme. I wish the kids through this progamme can represent the nation in the FIFA World Cup in the future. We will extend all our support to team JFC always.”
Kundan Chandra, Head of Grassroots added, “I would like to thank the parents, the coaches who participated, my staff and all the volunteers. Without their support we would not be able to pull such a grand and successful event. We are gearing up for more such grassroots events in the coming days and hopefully everyone will show the same love towards us as they did in the last three days.”
“We have never learned these techniques before and its great so see the children enjoy the game”, Father and son pair, Miller and Sharad Raut, who attended the Jamshedpur FC Grassroots Workshop.
Some of the women coaches were all praise for the workshop, as they said, “We are so happy to learn and then teach the kids. It’s something we could never do in the past. Jamshedpur FC’s grassroots initiative is the best thing that has happened.”
