Jamshedpur: Amidst great frenzy of having a football club from Jamshedpur participating in the Indian Super League, the JSA (Jamshedpur Sporting Association) clubs received more joy today.
In a ‘grassroots initiative’, Jamshedpur FC distributed footballs provided by kit partner NIVIA to sixteen clubs in a quick gathering on the outskirts of Jamshedpur, at Jaipal Singh Stadium in Karindih, on Tuesday, December 5. Present at the venue were Jamshedpur FC Operations Manager, Raja Bhattacharjee, and JSA Clubs’ Coordinator, J. Behra, addressing the coaches, officials and players from sixteen JSA Clubs.
At the venue, Bhattacharjee motivated everyone present there to come and support the club at the stadium in the upcoming home matches, as he said, “Jamshedpur FC is your club! Your support matters a lot to the club and you are the 12th man! The atmosphere in the first match was brilliant and we must continue that! Also, these footballs that we have given out hold a lot of meaning to us. We want the youth of Jamshedpur and Jharkhand to play! We aim to have the best players from the city and the state representing club and country one day!”
The JSA teams present at the venue were – Jharkhand S.C., Adivasi Association Jamshedpur, Classic Eight, Vikas Samiti Telco, Gram Vikas Kendra, Pratibha Kendra Mukhi Samaj Burmamines, Adivasi Ritui Gondai Club, Narwapahar Sports Club, United Football Academy, Pandit Raghunath Memorial Football Club, Jungle Tiger Football Academy, BLS Football Academy, Super Boys Club, Singhbhum Soccer Fans Club, Jaipal Singh Club and SBC Training Center. This is a grassroots initiative from Jamshedpur FC as the club continues to spread the word about the club and to develop football.
