Jamshedpur FC celebrates Teachers’ Day by highlighting coach education journey

Jamshedpur, September 4: On the occasion of Teachers’ Day, Jamshedpur FC turned the spotlight on its own teachers, the coaches who have been nurtured and trained under the club’s grassroots and youth development programme. Since its inception, the club has successfully trained over 280 coaches in and around Jamshedpur, creating a ripple effect that continues to impact the football ecosystem of Jharkhand.

The club’s strategy has been clear to reach the community through coach education. By equipping aspiring coaches with modern training methodologies, Jamshedpur FC has ensured that children across the region have access not just to football, but to structured, quality learning. Over the years, 192 and 48 coaches have gone on to earn their AIFF ‘D’ and ‘C’ licenses respectively organised in conjunction with both AIFF and AFC. These initiatives have elevated the standard of grassroots coaching in the city, making it one of the most vibrant hubs for football education in the country.

In addition to its independent efforts, Jamshedpur FC has also partnered with Tata Steel Foundation to further strengthen its coach education programmes. This collaboration has enabled the club to extend opportunities for local coaches to learn and grow, thereby enhancing its community footprint through football. By combining resources and expertise, the initiative ensures that more educators of the game are equipped to inspire children at the grassroots level.
