Jamshedpur, Sep 29: A delegation of Akhil Bharatiya Poorva Sainik Seva Parishad, Jamshedpur, met the MP of Jamshedpur Bidyut Baran Mahato at his office on Thursday and raised the issue of cashless treatment of retired defence personnel.

The delegation members said various city hospitals were not providing cashless treatment facility to ex-servicemen despite being a panel hospital under the Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS). They said none of the hospitals of the city were ready to provide treatment to ex-servicemen due to non-payment of dues. They said there are around 7000 families of ex-servicemen in Kolhan who are affected due to the non-availability of cashless treatment facility in private hospitals.

The MP assured to take up the issue and take some initiative in this regard. He said he would speak to the Defence Minister to find a way out.
