Jamshedpur, March 15: Police recovered the body of a eunuch from Sido Kanho Basti of Burmamines on Tuesday. They suspect it to be a case of homicide.
Police said the body was lying between two walls on the banks of a drain passing through the locality in the morning. The eunuch, identified as Sapna, was missing from her house since 11th March last. The role of her companion Dheeraj Nayak is suspected, police said.
Cops said a group of eunuchs had registered a police complaint with Burmamines police seeking help to trace Sapna. Before her death, Sapna had reportedly drunk liquor with Dheeraj who reached Jamshedpur just four days ago. After Sapna’s disappearance, Dheeraj was not seen in the locality, sources said.
