Jamshedpur, May 30: The Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) on Tuesday, May 30, conducted the entrance examination for admission to  three Schools of Excellence in Jamshedpur for the academic session 2023-’24.

Out of 2,029 applicants, 1,638 candidates appeared for the qualifying tests they answered on OMR sheets (Optical Mark Recognition).

The examinees were assigned four different centres in the city to answer the exams.

The candidates were prohibited the use of devices like mobile phones, calculators, wrist watches and other electronic aids.

A total of 80 invigilators were assigned to the four examination centers to ensure regulated and smooth running of the examination.
The evaluation of the answer sheets commenced soon after the conclusion of the exams and was conducted by nine chief examiners and 110 examiners.
The answer sheets would be stored in the strong room after evaluation. The examinations for selection to the three Schools of excellence in the city were conducted as per guidelines of the Deputy Commissioner.
The results would be announced shortly followed by the enrollment process at the three designated thre Schools of Excellence.
