Jamshedpur, November 17. Sub Inspector (SI) Santosh Das posted at Galudih police station has been sent to police barracks by SSP Kishore Kaushal.
Santosh Das was accused of abusing and beating elderly Gurucharan Mahato, a resident of Badakhurshi village, after entering his house.
It is known that 60 year old Gurucharan Mahato, a resident of Badakhurshi village, had accused Santosh Das of Galudih police station of breaking into his house and assaulting him. Gurucharan Mahato was seriously injured in this fight.
His head was broken after hitting the wall in the fight. The police assault case was investigated by SDPO Kuldeep Toppo and Rural Superintendent of Police Rishabh Garg. Statements were taken by him from the victim Gurucharan Mahato, wife Sarla Mahato and witness of the incident Lal Mahato.
Meanwhile, on Thursday, under the leadership of Jharkhandi Bhasha Khatiani Sangharsh Samiti (JBKSS) leader Ramdas Murmu, the victim Sarla Mahato met the SSP to take action against the accused SI Santosh Das. Accusing her of saving the culprit, the victim had demanded action from the SSP.
