Six ghats to be cleaned for Chaiti Chhath
Jamshedpur, April 4: East Singhbhum district administration top brass led by deputy commissioner Vijaya Jadhav reviewed the preparation for peaceful conduct of Ramnavami and and Chhaiti Chhath festivity in the district at a meeting in Circuit House Auditorium.
Discussion ranged from supply of drinking water, road repair, cleaning of ghats, fire vehicles, deputation of medical team, procession routes and necessary guidelines were given.
Deputy Commissioner directed for cleaning the Domuhani Ghats and Swarnrekha river ghats, street light repair, adequate electrical system in the ghat, deputation of ambulance and medical team, for the Chaiti Chhath to the civic officials of three municipal bodies and TSUIS officials. Instructed the representative of the private company to take necessary steps in their respective feeder sector. He said that along with ensuring compliance of the guidelines issued by the state government, taking special care of the convenience of the devotees is also the priority of the district administration.
Deputy Commissioner directed to ensure the meeting of subdivision and police station wise peace committee regarding Ramnavami festival. In the meeting, mainly the guidelines issued by the state government in view of Covid-19 and the procession route chart of the registered arena committees were discussed. According to the guidelines issued by the state government, not more than 100 devotees are allowed to participate in the procession and where everyone is matched, the maximum number of devotees in the procession will not exceed 1000 and the religious procession will be allowed only till 6:00 pm.
While directing the officials present in the meeting to ensure the compliance of the issued order in letter and spirit, it was told that according to the guidelines, playing of recorded music, DJ will be prohibited in the religious procession. During this, use of Covid appropriate behavior such as mask, hand sanitizer will be mandatory. Apart from this, instructions were given to ensure necessary preparations by inspecting the route of the procession of the registered arenas of different areas. Instructions were given to make video recording of all the processions and also to monitor every step of the way through CCTV.
Special monitoring will be done on social media so that no objectionable and unverified message of any kind can be spread. On the days of the festival, the officials of Fire Brigade, Electricity Department, Drinking Water Department and Municipal Council will be fully alert so that no untoward incident takes place.
Directive was issued to keep special vigil on sensitive places, frenzied and anti-social elements and health department was directed to keep adequate number of reserve doctors and medical teams ready.
All the officers, supervisors and engineers have been ordered to stay in the district headquarters from April 4 to 12.
