Jamshedpur Durga Puja : Ground-breaking ceremony for Aambagan Puja pandal

Jamshedpur, Sept 3: The ground breaking ceremony (Bhoomi Pujan) for the construction of the Sarvajanin Durga Puja Committee pandal at the  Aambagan ground was performed on Sunday with traditional rituals. This year, the Aambagan Sarvajanin Durga Puja Committee will be celebrating the Golden jubilee year.

The Committee’s General Secretary, Debasish Naha informed that this year’s Durgotsav would be celebrated in a grand manner in view of the special occasion of the Golden Jubilee year. Craftsmen from Katwa will design the pandal in the form and shape of an ancient palace. Clay idol makers from Chandannagar will make the image of Devi Durga while the light décor too will be designed by experts from there.

Giving further details, Naha said that a chain of cultural programmes has been lined up for the special Golden Jubilee celebration of Durgotsav. Popular artistes from Kolkata will give cultural presentations on Chaturthi and Panchami while a Jatra (Bangla folk theatre) performance is on the cards for Sashthi. Debasish Naha, on behalf of the organization, has extended an open invitation to all citizens to celebrate the Golden Jubilee Durgotsav of the Aambagan Durga Puja Committee.
