Jamshedpur DPRO honoured for girlchild campaign

Ranchi: District public relations officer (DPRO) of East Singhbhum Sanjay Kumar was today honoured by veteran Bollywood actor and Padma Bhushan awardee Anupam Kher for his outstanding contributions in the campaign to save the girl child in Jharkhand.

Kumar received the appreciation at a programme organized by the Information and Public Relations Department, Government of Jharkhand at IPRD building hall in Ranchi. He was praised for his sincere efforts in ensuring the success of various programmes organized under �Meri Beti, Meri Pehchaan� campaign in Jamshedpur.

Kher said Kumar had done a great job by promoting the cause of girlchild in the state. He said such efforts should be continued for the benefit of girls in Jharkhand. He also appreciated the efforts of Jharkhand government in recognizing good work being done by the officials.

Also present on the occasion, Sanjay Kumar, Principal Secretary of IPRD, appealed to all bureaucrats of the state to work with full dedication to achieve their goals.

Other officials awarded today included Ajay Nath Jha, Bindeshwawri Jha and Rahul Bharati. Among those present during the programme included director of IPRD Avdhesh Kumar Pandey, all deputy directors, assistant directors, DPROs of all districts and other officials of the IPRD.
