Jamshedpur: District E-Governance Society Meeting

Jamshedpur: In a crucial meeting chaired by the Deputy Commissioner cum Chairman of the District E-Governance Society, various ongoing projects under the District E-Governance Society were reviewed. During this review, the Deputy Commissioner issued necessary guidelines to enhance the effectiveness and reach of e-governance initiatives in East Singhbhum district.

The Deputy Commissioner emphasized the importance of processing applications for JharSeva ID and directed immediate action on the applications received so far. Additionally, instructions were given to identify Pragya Kendra operators who occupy Panchayat Bhawans without a JharSeva ID.

Regarding the registration of ration dealers in the CSC (Common Service Center), the CSC Manager reported that over 600 ration dealers have been registered. The Deputy Commissioner then set a deadline of one month for the registration of all remaining ration dealers.

To ensure the quality of services provided through Pragya Kendras, the Deputy Commissioner instructed the CSC Manager to conduct surprise inspections of 60 Pragya Kendras each month. For the e-office project, a directive was issued to implement e-office systems in all district offices within one month.

During the review of the Jharanet project, the Deputy Commissioner ordered a video conferencing test to be conducted in all block offices at the district level, with a report to be submitted afterward. Additionally, measures to increase internet speed through Jharanet were discussed, and the establishment of a training center for computer education for all offices and the general public was mandated.

The meeting saw the attendance of several key officials, including Deputy Development Commissioner  Manish Kumar, Additional Deputy Commissioner  Yogendra Prasad, Special Allocation Officer  Mahendra Kumar, DTO cum Nazarat Sub-Collector  Dhananjay, District Informatics Officer  Kishore Prasad, District Public Relations Officer  Panchanan Oraon, E District Manager, District Project Officer UIDAI, CSC Manager, Network Engineer, and Jharanet employees.
