Jamshedpur: Discussion on single-use plastic ban in special workshop

Jamshedpur, March 4:  On Friday, March 4, many officials including executive officer of Mango Municipal Corporation, Deepak Sahay, attended the third regional workshop on Sustainable Urban Plastic Management organized in Puri (Odisha). The workshop was organized by the Urban Development and Housing Department of the Jharkhand government. Among those who attended the workshop were Director (IAS) of SUDA, Ranchi Municipal Corporation, Chas Municipal Corporation, Dhanbad Municipal Corporation, Adityapur Municipal Corporation, Medininagar Municipal Corporation, Deoghar Municipal Corporation and Mango Municipal Corporation’s Municipal Commissioner/Executive Officer. MMC Executive Officer Deepak Sahay said that the workshop was organized by the Government of India. The topics related to the ban of single use plastic were discussed. The Executive Officer described the workshop as very important. Many senior officials of municipal bodies of Jharkhand, Bengal and Odisha participated.
