Jamshedpur, Nov 18: A monthly review meeting of the education department was held by deputy development commissioner Parmeshwar Bhagat at collectorate.
The meeting discussed on performance of Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas, electrification in schools and other infrastructure problems in schools.
All BEEOs were instructed to make field visits of 25 percent of the schools in their feeder area every 15 days and make available the inspection report to the district office.
All the teachers were directed to make biometric attendance and where the tab is defective they should make attendance from their mobile itself. In view of the board examination, instructions were given to run remedial classes in all schools.
Directive was issued to BEEOs to persuade more and more children to download the Digi School app and register through the app through field visits and hold meeting with parents.
The progress of Digi School app installation in Gudabanda, Dhalbhumgarh and Dumaria block was not found satisfactory and the concerned BEEOs were directed to ensure the registration and uploading of 80 percent children on the app in the next 15 days.
Electrification work is incomplete in 31 schools of the district, in this regard the BEEO of the concerned blocks have been directed to complete the electrification work at the earliest by coordinating with BDOs and SDOs of electricity department.
If the construction work of 4 ACRs in Bahragora, 3 in KGBV Dumaria and 2 in Bodam was not found satisfactory under DMFT fund, the concerned BEEO was directed to do field visit and see the construction and make available the inspection report to the district office.
