Jamshedpur, March 18: A three-member delegation of Bharat Scouts and Guides, East Singhbhum district unit, met the Deputy Development Commissioner (DDC) of East Singhbhum, Narendra Paswan, at his office in Jamshedpur on Wednesday.
The delegation was led by District Organising Commissioner Naresh Kumar and included Shyam Kumar Sharma, Commissioner of the Cubs Wing, and Lalan Yadav, Assistant Secretary of the district unit. The team welcomed the DDC by presenting a bouquet and honouring him with the Scouts and Guides’ ‘World Brotherhood Scarf’ and cap.
During the meeting, the delegation requested Paswan to accept the post of Vice-President of the district unit, to which he agreed. They also briefed him about the organisation’s achievements and ongoing activities at district, state, and national levels.
The representatives highlighted several challenges faced while organising camps and programmes for Scout and Guide children at the district headquarters. A memorandum outlining these issues was also submitted to the DDC.
Paswan listened to the concerns and assured the delegation that necessary steps would be taken to address the issues within his jurisdiction. He appreciated the efforts of the Bharat Scouts and Guides and extended his best wishes for their future activities.
