Jamshedpur DC and SSP Inspect Full Dress Rehearsal for District-Level Republic Day Parade

Jamshedpur: Preparations for Republic Day 2026 entered the final stage as Deputy Commissioner Karn Satyarthi and Senior Superintendent of Police Piyush Pandey jointly inspected the full dress rehearsal of the district-level main parade ceremony at Gopal Maidan on Saturday.

During the inspection, the senior officials closely reviewed the discipline, coordination, and overall preparedness of the parade contingents. They also assessed the arrangements underway at the main venue to ensure that the district-level celebration is conducted with dignity and in keeping with the spirit of the national festival. Necessary instructions were issued to concerned officials to complete all remaining preparations within the stipulated timeframe.

The full dress rehearsal saw the participation of one platoon of JAP-6, two platoons of the district police force, one platoon of district home guards, two platoons of NCC comprising male and female cadets, and two platoons of Scouts and Guides. The contingents displayed coordinated marching and ceremonial drills.

According to officials, the district-level Republic Day ceremony will be held on January 26, with the national flag scheduled to be hoisted at 9.05 am at Gopal Maidan. Several attractive tableaux highlighting various themes will also be part of the programme, adding colour and vibrancy to the celebration.

With preparations in their final phase, the district administration is focused on ensuring a smooth, disciplined, and memorable Republic Day celebration for the people of East Singhbhum.
