Jamshedpur DC reviews Maiyan Samman Yojana, stresses on efficient form collection

Jamshedpur: In a recent review meeting, District Magistrate cum Deputy Commissioner  Ananya Mittal assessed the progress of the Jharkhand Chief Minister Maiyan Samman Yojana. The meeting, held via video conferencing, saw the participation of key officials including the Director of DRDA, District Social Welfare Officer, Assistant Director of Social Security, municipal body officers, Block Development Officers (BDOs), Child Development Project Officers (CDPOs), and other related personnel.

During the meeting, Mittal issued specific guidelines to ensure the efficient implementation of the scheme. CDPOs were instructed to oversee the collection of application forms through Anganwadi Sevikas. For offline applications, beneficiaries will receive a manual acknowledgment, ensuring transparency and accountability at the grassroots level. The District Social Welfare Officer was tasked with comprehensive monitoring of the process.

Pension Approval Officers were directed to expedite the online entry of data by utilizing the services of Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLEs) and additional computer operators. After the online submission of the manual forms, acknowledgement numbers will be issued, which are to be delivered to the beneficiaries via Anganwadi Sevikas. The Assistant Director of Social Security was instructed to maintain close coordination with the pension approval officers to streamline operations.

Furthermore, the municipal officers and BDOs were directed to provide all necessary support to the pension sanctioning officers, CDPOs, VLEs, and operators in their respective areas, with an emphasis on daily monitoring. The Director of DRDA will oversee the overall progress of the scheme, ensuring that it meets its objectives.

The Jharkhand Chief Minister Maniyaan Samman Yojana is a key initiative aimed at providing financial assistance and support to the elderly, widows, and other vulnerable sections of society. The review meeting highlighted the government’s commitment to the effective implementation of the scheme, with a focus on timely disbursement and robust monitoring mechanisms.
