Jamshedpur DC reviews health dept. preparation

Jamshedpur, August 12: East Singhbhum deputy commissioner Suraj Kumar reviewed meeting of district health committee and DTF (Immunization), PCPNDT and RKS was held at district collectorate.

During the meeting it was decided to form a team under mass drug administration between August 23 and 27 for the eradication of filariasis and go door-to-door to feed the medicine of filariasis. All the blocks and municipal bodies were instructed to prepare a micro plan and submit it to the district malaria office. Simultaneously, it was decided that wide publicity should be done regarding the eradication of Filariasis so that the public would be aware of this campaign. While directing to feed 100 percent people in the district, employees of various companies located in urban areas were also asked to join this campaign and it was also asked to take cooperation from the NGOs involved.

The meeting reviewed medical resources available for the possible third wave of corona infection and directive were given to increase testing. While running special drives in the district, it was instructed to check RAT, TrueNat, RTPCR so that even if the third wave hits, then it can be fought firmly.

All medical officer incharges (MOIC) were directed to give wide publicity to VHND (Village Health and Nutrition Day) so that maximum number of people can get the benefit.

In the course of review of PCPNDT, it was directed to ensure necessary action against those ultrasound centers which cooperate in the work of abortion by examining gender. It was said that if any Sahiya goes to a private hospital with a pregnant woman, then by marking such Sahiya, take action as per the rules.
