Jamshedpur, Sept 29: East Singhbhum deputy commissioner Ravi Shankar Shukla convened a meeting to review various development projects being run in Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC), Mango and Jugsalai. He sought updates on the implementation of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban), Jal Shakti Abhiyan and Shram Shakti Abhiyan. He also sought details about registration of workers of unorganized sectors employed under various development projects.
Shukla directed the Special Officer of Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee to conduct lottery to shortlist PMAY applications of Bagunhatu. The beneficiaries whose names are picked in the lottery will have to submit all necessary documents within a month, he said.
The DC said the construction of PMAY (Urban) housing units in Mango should be completed before 22nd October.
In view of Durga Puja celebrations, the DC ordered repair of street lights, cleaning and trimming of branches of dangerously hanging trees.
