Jamshedpur: In a proactive move to ensure last-mile delivery of government schemes, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Karn Satyarthi conducted an extensive inspection of Kharia Tola and Jobla in Kulamara village, a tribal-dominated region under Musabani block. The visit focused on assessing the living conditions of the primitive Sabar tribe and ensuring their inclusion in welfare programs.
During the field visit, the DC interacted directly with the Sabar families and inquired about the availability of basic amenities, including drinking water, housing, education, and healthcare. He also inspected government-run institutions such as the Anganwadi Centre and the Ayushman Arogya Mandir at Jobla to check the delivery of nutrition and health services.

Highlighting the importance of inclusive governance, Satyarthi instructed block officials to immediately enroll all eligible Sabar children in nearby schools and ensure regular attendance. He also emphasized the need to issue essential documents like birth and caste certificates, which are crucial for availing benefits under various government schemes.
Special focus was given to the Savitri Bai Phule Kishori Samriddhi Yojana and Mainiya Samman Yojana, urging officials to make sure these schemes reach eligible adolescent girls and women in the community.

Addressing the pressing issue of drinking water, the Deputy Commissioner ordered the repair of damaged sources and installation of new hand pumps. He directed that clean drinking water must be made available to every household without delay.
At the Ayushman Arogya Mandir, Satyarthi reviewed medicine availability, stock and OPD registers, and verified the expiry dates of drugs. He also assessed the quality and timeliness of nutrition distribution at the Anganwadi Centre, instructing Anganwadi workers to ensure that no beneficiary is left out.

“The district administration is committed to ensuring that the benefits of all government schemes reach the most marginalized, especially primitive tribal groups like the Sabar community,” said the DC. “Under the Aspirational Block Program, Musabani will see targeted interventions in healthcare, education, agriculture, infrastructure, and social development.”
He directed officials to conduct regular field visits and play an active role in linking each family with developmental schemes. Emphasizing the need to integrate primitive tribal families into the mainstream, he reiterated that timely and equitable development remains the administration’s top priority.
Present during the inspection were BDO Aditi Gupta, CO Rishikesh Marandi, and officials from relevant departments.
