Jamshedpur DC inspects preparation for panchayat polls 

Multi phase training at different venues for polling officials 

Jamshedpur, April 20 :East Singhbhum deputy commissioner Vijaya Jadhav reviewed the preparation for the panchayat polls and inspected the various cells formed for smooth conduct of polls.

She made inquiries regarding denting-painting of ballot boxes and instructions were given to keep all the preparations like coloring and marking numbers. In order to inspect the material cell, instructions were given to keep all the material related to voting ready.

The senior officer of the vehicle cell was directed to make proper assessment of the need of the vehicle for the election work. According to the route chart, instructions were also given to make proper assessment of which vehicle can reach which booth easily.

The District Election Officer (Panchayat) said that the condition of the vehicles used during the election work should be assessed in advance so that the polling personnel do not face any problem while traveling in remote areas. In order to inspect the personnel cell, the manpower used in the election work was reviewed. He directed that upload the data of all the employees and keep them updated. If the data is uploaded then there will be no problem to put it in the election work. According to the need, the responsibility that has to be given, appropriate action can be taken according to the immediately available data.

Vijaya Jadhav said that conducting Panchayat elections with complete transparency and fairness is the first priority of the district administration. During the inspection of various cells,  directive was issued to the concerned senior officers to work in coordination among themselves so that the election work could be completed without any hassle.

A training program would be organized for the master trainer in the District Collectorate on 26th April, while from 29th April to 10th May (29 and 30 April-first training, 05 and 06 May-second training and 09 and 10 May-third training).

 Six days training program will be organized for Presiding Officer (PO), First Polling Officer (P1), Second Polling Officer (P2) and Third Polling Officer (P3).

Training of officers will be held in XLRI Auditorium, training of first Polling Officer (P1) at Ravindra Bhawan, Sakchi, training of second Polling Officer (P2) in Michael John Auditorium Bistupur and training of third Polling Officer (P3) in Town Hall Sidgora in two shifts will be held.
