Jamshedpur, December 4: Deputy Commissioner Karn Satyarthi inspected the Block Resource Center (BRC) at the Musabani Block Headquarters on Thursdsy and addressed the ongoing teachers’ training program, emphasizing improved teaching quality, innovation in classrooms, and strong school retention efforts. The Deputy Commissioner visited Musabani as part of a field inspection and reviewed academic and administrative progress at the BRC.

Calling the BRC a vital platform in the educational structure, he stated that the foundation of quality education lies in trained, committed, vigilant, and technologically aware teachers. He noted that the BRC is not just an administrative unit but a hub for academic development, teacher capacity building, continuous evaluation, and improvement across schools.

Addressing the gathering,  Satyarthi stressed the need for updated subject knowledge, creative teaching techniques, and continuous learning among teachers. He urged educators to adopt innovation-driven teaching, ensure strong implementation of foundational learning and numeracy, learning outcome–based instruction, and activity-based learning in classrooms. He also recommended regular assessments of academic progress, student attendance, learning levels, and monthly reviews for accountability.

The Deputy Commissioner directed the BRC team and master trainers to ensure that training produces practical outcomes. “It is not enough to conduct training sessions; the real impact must be visible in classroom practice and student learning,” he said. He suggested continuous post-training support for teachers to help them implement new strategies effectively and called for identifying underperforming schools and preparing targeted improvement plans.

While interacting with teachers, the Deputy Commissioner said that teachers are the first motivators and guides for children and play the most critical role in shaping their future. He emphasized that meaningful improvement in the district’s education system can be achieved only when teachers regularly upgrade their skills and provide equal learning opportunities to every student. He also urged schools to ensure a positive learning environment and strong efforts for student retention, ensuring that every child receives quality education.
