Jamshedpur, Jan 24: As the Steel City gears up to celebrate Republic Day, senior officials of the district today inspected the final preparations at Gopal Maidan. Amidst the full dress rehearsal of the parade for the district level function was going on, Deputy Commissioner Vijaya Jadhav and Senior Superintendent of Police Prabhat Kumar, visited the venue and inspected the parade.
After inspecting the parade, the Deputy Commissioner took the salute of the march past. On this occasion, she said that the contingents involved in the parade performed well, there are some shortcomings for which she gave instructions to rectify them. Officials informed that ground preparation, labeling and other works are in progress. The district level function will be celebrated grandly in an enthusiastic atmosphere.
After inspecting the parade, the SSP addressed the contingents participating in the parade. He said that it is the responsibility of every member of all the contingents participating in the parade to give their best. The Senior Superintendent of Police also informed about the things to be paid attention to during the parade. Necessary directions were given by the Deputy Commissioner to the concerned officials regarding preparations on the spot.
It is noteworthy that 7 units of paramilitary and police forces are participating in this year’s parade, including 1 unit JAP-6, 2 units District Police Force, 1 unit Home Guard, 1 unit Auxiliary Police and 1-1 unit boys/girls. NCC included. St Mary’s school team will be there as the band party.
