Jamshedpur, Nov 6: Deputy Commissioner cum District Returning Officer of East Singhbhum Ravi Shankar Shukla felicitated booth level officers (BLOs) for excellent performance in the ongoing electoral roll revision programme. He gave letters of appreciation to the BLOs. The BLOs having received maximum number of Form 6, Millennium voters and women voters were also honoured.
The DC said all BLOs have been directed to identify voters whose names have not yet been included in the electoral list and get their names included by 8th November. He said a special voters� awareness campaign should be launched to inform differently-abled and octogenarian voters about postal ballot facility in the upcoming state Assembly elections.
The DC said the applications for postal ballots would be received till 16th November. Elections will take place from 22nd November to 3rd December, he said.
