Jamshedpur, Aug 19: East Singhbhum Deputy Commissioner Vijaya Jadhav convened a virtual meeting regarding issuance of caste certificates of government school students from class I to XII here on Thursday. She directed the officials concerned of various blocks and government departments to ensure cent per cent success in target achievement before 30th August. She said the caste certificates would be issued for free to all children within three days. She said a work plan should be made for this purpose. She further discussed the issue of non-availability of Khatiyan with many parents.
The DC said the caste certificates should be issued on a priority basis since they were essential for availing the benefits of various government welfare schemes.
Other officials present during the meeting included Deputy Development Commissioner Pradip Prasad, Additional Deputy Commissioner Sourabh Sinha, all Circle Officers and BEEOs.
