Jamshedpur DC discusses accounting of poll expenses with candidates

Jamshedpur, April 20: East Singhbhum Deputy Commissioner cum Returning Officer Amit Kumar Saturday convened a meeting of various political parties to discuss issues pertaining to expenses of candidates.

Addressing representatives of political parties, the DC said a workshop would be held at the Collectorate to inform all candidates and representatives of various political parties about the Election Commission�s instructions regarding accounting of expenses incurred during election campaigns. The candidates would be trained on how to keep the expenses account updated. The meeting would be held at 11 am.

The treasurers, secretaries and presidents of all political parties have been invited to the meeting, sources said.

The DC asked the candidates and political parties to approach the administration through Suvidha app for seeking permission regarding temporary election offices, public meetings and helipads. He said the Assistant Returning Officer (ARO) would issue the NOC for various purposes.
