Jamshedpur: DBMS lad to represent team India at Science Fair in US

Jamshedpur, Jan. 27: The IRIS (Initiative for Research & Innovation in STEM) National Fair promotes and nurtures science and scientific research among young Indian innovators. It provides a platform for winning students to represent India at the International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF), the world�s largest international pre-college science competition, held annually in the U.S.

Each year, research-based science projects by young students, across 17 subject categories�are reviewed by an eminent jury comprising of scientists and domain experts. Then, the short-listed entries are showcased at the annual IRIS National Fair. 

In IRIS 2019-20 Subhigya Priyansh a class IX student in D.B.M.S. English School participated with his project �Enhanced Lossless Data Compression using Logistic context mixing and predictive Analysis� in the category of Computer Science (CS) and was selected in the final of IRIS National Fair 2019.

The IRIS national fair 2019-20 was held in Bangalore from 22-24 January 2020 where projects of the 100 finalists were judged by top scientists of India. Subhigya�s project won the Grand Award. Subhigya will now represent team India at International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF), to be held in Anaheim, California, USA from 10 to 15 May, 2020.
