Jamshedpur, Jan 20: Cyber criminals have cheated Rs 1.13 lakh from a CRPF jawan staying at RAF camp in Sundernagar.
Criminals illegally withdrew Rs 1.13 lakh from the account of CRPF jawan Mohammed Kasim after which the jawan lodged a case at cyber thana in Bistupur on Wednesday. The jawan a native of Bihar is posted at Sundernagar received a phone call on Wednesday and was informed that he had won a lottery with a prize of an Apache bike and cash of Rs 50,000 and for availing the gift one has to download anydesk app and soon after downloading the app the caller asked for app password and also sought account details for sending the prize money and thereafter the amount was withdrawn from his account.
When the jawan tried to call back on the number it was found switched off.
Police are investigating into the case.
