Jamshedpur: Crowds make beeline at Shahid Ganesh Hansda�s residence to pay homage


People pledge to boycott all Chinese products

Jamshedpur, June 18: Teary eyed people from all walks of life and all political platforms cast aside differences and made a beeline at 21 year old Shahid jawan Ganesh Hansda�s Kashafalia village home in Chingda Panchayat of East Singhbhum who laid down his life while defending the territory and honour of his motherland along the Indo-China Gilwan LAC in East Ladhak. The entire area was immersed in shock and sorrow on hearing the news of the son of their soil, Ganesh�s martyrdom. The people bowed their heads in respect for the valor of young jawan Ganesh Hansda. Crowds of people poured in to the Kashafalia residence throughout Thursday to pay their respects and condolences to the bereaved but proud family.


The people waited eagerly for the arrival of Shahid Ganesh Hansda�s mortal remains. Former Rajya Sabha member Dr Pradip Balmuchu, former legislator Kunal Sarangi, LBSM College Principal Dr Amar Singh, Ghatshila Pramukh Hiramani Murmu, Mukhiya Kanhai Murmu were among the dignitaries who had come to pay their tributes to the martyr. The LBSM College Principal handed Rs 10,000 to the family of the Hero of Gilwan who was a cadet in the College�s NCC. The NCC cadets also paid homage to the martyr.


KYBC Football Club of Kashafalia members and villagers made a model of Gilwan in homage to Ganesh Hansda and the other jawans martyred in the encounter. They lighted candles as a mark of respect for the valiant sons of Mother India. Among them were Viram Baskey, Sunil Hembram, Jairam Murmu, Diku Soren, Swarup Kumar, Somnath Kumar and other villagers.

BJP Olidih unit
Tributes were paid to the Indian bravehearts of Gilwan at the BJP Olidih unit office. Members pledged to boycott all Chinese products. Those present included Amrendra Paswan, Rakesh Singh Lodhi, Shankar Banerjee, Bachchu Mukherjee, Rajesh Kumar Gupta, Paras Mani Jha, Sandip Sharma, Manoj Sharma, Prem Saxena, Rajiv Kumar Pandey, Vikas Sahni, Sanju Singh, Ravindra Kaur and others.

BJP Bistupur Mandal
The BJP Bistupur unit members paid tributes to the Gilwan martyrs at Veer Sawarkar Chowk on Diagonal Road by lighting candles and observing silence. They vowed to boycott Chinese goods. Members present were Rita Mishra, Maheshwar Pratap Singh, Rajkumar Shah, Pintu Kumar Shah, Krishna Kumar Gupta, Lalji Singh, Manpreet Bhatia, Papai Chakraborty, Rama Devi and others.

YC homage to Gilwan Shahids
BJP East Assembly constituency president Bijendra Sahu led Youth Congress members in paying homage to the Gilwan Shahids at Azad Market in Telco. Members lighted candles in front of the photographs of the martyred jawans. Later they voiced anti China and anti Pakistan slogans. The YC members demanded that retaliatory action be taken by the Prime Minister and the nation stood behind him. They reiterated that the supreme sacrifice of the army jawans should not go in vain. The members observed two minutes� silence in respect for the departed bravehearts.
Those present were Chandrabhan Singh, Dr Paritosh Singh, Sanjiv Ranjan, Ranjan Pandey, Pawan Tiwary, Bijendra Sahu, Gopal Yadav, Mintu Hembram, Amir Sohail, Debasish Ghosh, Jagdish Mahto, Vimlesh Kumar, Amit Kumar, Dinesh Singh, Rohit Pal and others.
