Jamshedpur Crime: Three arrested with 67 e-tickets from Tatanagar station

Jamshedpur, Aug 17: A team of Railway Protection Force officials arrested three persons for alleged black-marketing of train tickets here on Wednesday.

Those arrested were identified as Mohammad Meraz, resident of Gausnagar, Kapali, Avinash Dikshit and Dashrath Mahakud, residents of Kowali.

During frisking, cops found two train tickets worth Rs 6720 from the possession of Avinash and Dashrath. They recovered to tickets worth Rs 3700 and 67 e-tickets worth Rs 66,000 from the possession of Meraz. Several Railway ticket forms were also recovered from the accused persons, cops said.

According to SK Tiwary, Officer-in-charge, RPF Post, Tatanagar, “Our team was on patrol duty. The officers noticed three persons with suspicious appearance standing near counter number 3. During further investigation, it was found that they were black-marketeers. They have been sent to judicial custody.”
