Jamshedpur Crime: Mukesh Mittal, Ajay Modi meet SSP on Rajendranagar house burglary issue

Jamshedpur, Oct 12: Mukesh Mittal, Vice President of Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) and Agarwal Conference and Ajay Modi met district SSP Prabhat Kumar regarding the recent incidence of burglary at a Rajendranagar residence during the Durga Puja festival. It may be mentioned that Ajay Modi’s Rajendranagar residence was burgled  in which cash and jewelry worth over Rs Two crore had been taken away by the criminals. The theft was discovered after Ajay Modi and his family returned home after their overseas trip. Incidentally, Ajay Modi had reported the matter to the Sakchi police station. The SSP, after giving a hearing, assured that steps were already underway to nab the criminals and recover the stolen cash and jewelry very soon.

During the meeting with the SSP, Mukesh Mittal expressed concern on the increasing instances of theft in and around Jamshedpur that had made people of the district feel insecure. However, Mittal stated that in general, the district and police administrations’ efforts to curb crime and criminals had come in for appreciation by citizens. On his part, SSP Prabhat Kumar stated that police were regularly planning strategies to nab criminals and curb criminal activities. He also assured Mittal and Modi that those behind the Rajendranagar robbery would be in the police net shortly and the stolen goods and cash would be recovered. Mukesh Mittal expressed hope that SSP Prabhat Kumar who had uncovered many criminal incidents along with his police team would effectively catch the team of burglars and recover the cash and other valuables stolen from Ajay Modi’s Rajendranagar residence.
